There is zero value assigned by officials like this to the serious mental and psychological costs -- sure to be enduring -- of constantly isolating and distancing and shunning neighbors. COVID risks should be weighed *against* the costs of what's being decreed in its name. Watch:

Last April, when we were told that lockdowns and isolation would be needed for weeks or a couple months to "flatten the curve" -- remember that? -- two mental health experts told me the costs would be severe. It's now 15 months later: theintercept.com/2020/04/15/…

600k people dead in spite of everything we did... Why do you omit that fact? Should we have not locked down? Perhaps have let COVID-19 kill 3 or 4 times more people to avoid the psychological costs?
