Vaccine misinformation is dangerous, harmful and undermines our fight against COVID. We’re making sure New Yorkers have accurate information to make informed decisions about their health. #GetTheVaxFacts ny.gov/GetTheVaxFacts

We anticipate a decision on the Pfizer vaccine for children age 5-11 to come soon and Dr. Emily Lutterloh, @HealthNYGov's Director of Epidemiology, will lead our efforts to get our kids vaccinated. An experienced doctor and expert, I'm glad to have her expertise at the helm!

We owe it to the next generation to meet our nation-leading climate and emissions reduction goals. I applaud @NYSDEC’s decisions to deny Title V Permits for the Danskammer Energy Center & Astoria Gas Turbine Power, in the context of our state's clean energy transition.
BREAKING: Today @NYSDEC denied applications for two proposed natural gas power plants- Astoria and Danskammer. Both would be inconsistent with New York’s nation-leading climate law, and are not justified or needed for grid reliability. We must shift to a renewable future. #COP26

Three years ago, 11 Jewish worshippers at the Tree of Life synagogue were murdered in an act of hate. We hold the memory of those lost on that tragic day and stand with the Jewish community. Anti-Semitism and hate of any kind has no home here in New York or anywhere else.

We've brought New York to the front of the pack & delivered nearly $1B for renters struggling from the pandemic. But we must do more. @USTreasury is taking applications from states needing more funds & I’m making sure New York is first in line to get additional relief.

Amazing news for New York families! Parents have been waiting patiently to be able to give their children the protection of the COVID-19 vaccine, and this move puts us one step closer to making that a reality.

If you are traveling today, avoid flooded areas. ❌Don’t walk through them. ❌Don't drive through them. You don't know how deep the water is. Don't take that risk

Heavier rain is moving into the Twin Tiers region from the east this morning. Binghamton radar is down for maintenance for the next 2 weeks so the reflectivity has been filled in from surrounding radars so the rain will look lighter on the map then what is falling at the surface.

A widespread soaking rain today, particularly east of the Genesee valley where moderate to heavy rain could lead to serious ponding on some roadways along with the potential for localized poor drainage flooding. The latter could be exacerbated by leaf clogged drainage systems.
