A new study suggests hormonal birth control causes depression. A sibling's use and a person's own use were both related to depression. Estimated together, the effect of a person's own use was barely altered, but the effect of a sibling's use was significantly attenuated.

Does not imply causality. Could easily be reversed or an unobserved confounder.
