Looks like I got rugged minting 60+ DTP's not knowing the order can be found (and some abused). Sucks for me but for any DAA that hasn't been minting yet, look at Haubna's list as a guideline for what #s to mint near to be more on par with the abusers.
Sir, I disagree. I believe the opposite especially over 3-12 months. @aeyakovenko 's decision to build SOL in Rust instead of EVM like all the other L1’s trying to easily “steal” dev/users from ETH if you assume ETH will "scale" very well with L2 rollups by q2-4 2022. Here’s why:
I think @Solana ‘s requirements for developers to learn Rust make it nearly impossible to build a quickly thriving developer ecosystem like $eth and $Avax.
Finding or training Rust developers is harder than Solidity.
Also takes an eternity for finality.
1/ If rollups really do make solidity devs all want to go back “to ETH”, it’s likely rust devs will stay put and keep building in their ecosystem. Rust devs might come from a different background, not all devs want to code on Solidity, some devs will stick to coding on Rust.
3/ Facebook’s “blockchain” is to be programmed in Rust. Possibly other tech companies moving into crypto do the same. This might encourage a lot of young devs not yet sold on joining a native web 3.0 startup to learn Rust, get a high paying job and after..
4/ We can assume some of them will eventually quit their jobs in big tech and decide to move into native web 3.0 rust ecosystem startups. Similar to how so many ex-engineers at Web 2.0 big tech have created or helped build successful startups after they left Google/FB.
5/ Finally, I love ETH but delays have often happened. Wether its ETH 2.0 or the launch of the first L2s like Optimism/Arbitrum.
Another 3-6+ months of high fees on ETH --> Devs looking at other chains such as SOL -- > learn rust and prefer it. Self reinforcing ecosystem.
100%. A winner take all mentality is imo a relic of web 2.0 thinking. Web 3.0 atm features many chains competing against each other as standalone projects yet can cooperate in many ways (ex: wbtc on eth, good bridges between L1s).
