1 of world’s most repressive dictatorships, Saudi Arabia, owns 30% of the Independent. In March-April this year, the Independent ran a seemingly coordinated flurry of articles celebrating Saudi Arabia’s “Vision 2030”, a fake greenwashing PR campaign cooked up by its dictator MBS

A bizarre story. @CNNBrasil -- months after it launched in March, 2020 -- hired the last official spokesman of Brazil's military dictatorship as a commentator. He spent a year saying all the things which CNN in the US insists kills people, then they suddenly fired him yesterday:
CNN Brasil has fired Alexandre Garcia for - yet again - pushing "early treatment" of Covid, aka hydroxychloroquine, that scientists dismissed long, long ago as ineffective. tvefamosos.uol.com.br/notici…

The disintegration and collapse of the UK Labour Party under Sir Kier Starmer is one of the most schadenfreude-inducing episodes in politics ever. It's majestic.

It's good when people take unconstructive fights on Twitter into actual human communications, which almost always end up more civil, constructive and honest. Kudos to both for doing this:
Here's my full stream with @MattBinder of the "Majority Report" on whether it's evidence of a "creepy infatuation" -- as was alleged on a recent @SamSeder segment -- for me to cover COVID surveillance policies We both agreed it was a constructive convo 👍 redirect.invidious.io/j2DX6kYHbqA

I know it's a tough competition, but @HuffPost may actually be the shittiest, most dishonest, and most reckless "news outlet" after MSNBC. There is no liberal lie or DNC piety they don't launder as "news."

I'm still amazed at this Biden campaign video that @HuffPost produced in the weeks before the 2020 election under the guise of "news." Beyond being an obvious campaign ad, it was, far worse, full of lies, ones they just mindlessly and obediently spread from ex CIA operatives.

And given that Tucker Carlson was one of the only people on TV willing to air the evidence of FBI's role in Jan 6 -- which NYT confirmed today -- let me highly recommend this new discussion between him & @megynkelly. Just watch and judge for yourself: redirect.invidious.io/watch?v=OOx0ap1C…

So many people on the liberal-left like to think of themselves as free-thinking adversaries of corporate media, yet so much of their worldview comes from uncritical ingestion of the narratives constructed and peddled by those large media corporations.

Neither serious financial improprieties nor cover-up of a sexual predator can keep the Lincoln Project scumbags off Rachel Maddow's show, because her self-interest and their financial interest perfectly align: to keep fear levels about the Trump movement as high as possible.
The Republican Party is driving chaos at the same time they are selling order. All right-wing authoritarian movements do this. They drive chaos & then promise to restore order with easy scape goats. It’s hard to overstate the magnitude of this crisis. @SteveSchmidtSES @maddow

remember when liberals said ICE concentration camps, dreamers being expelled and "build that wall" was why you had to vote for them because it made them the lesser evil?
New tonight: The U.S. has now expelled 2,324 Haitians on 21 deportation flights to Haiti as part of the mass expulsion operation that started Sunday, according to the latest Department of Homeland Security data. 4 flights landed in Haiti today with 375 deportees on board.
