So let me get this straight; we leased out a port in Darwin for 100 years to the Chinese and have now spent a few billion in subs to protect us from them?

'We welcome any changes unions have fought for that keep workplaces safe and reduce covid infections'. What Frydenberg could have said regarding the union movement that stopped covid positive employees being forced to work instead of bagging out unions.

This is a list of all the vaccines my 13yo son has received in Australia. Based on probabilities, your kids & mine are unlikely to encounter the first 19 listed. Yet we choose to vaccinate against them. Today they are very, very likely to encounter COVID. Why not protect them?

This is a really informative article.
If you or your child test positive for COVID, you clearly can鈥檛 go to that vaccination or booster appointment you had booked this week. So, when can you go? @MCRI_for_kids' @DanchinMargie explains. bit.ly/3qAQlni

If a bunch of sharks killed 70 odd people in one day and then kept killing people every day would we be looking at how to stop the aggressive sharks or telling people to harden up cause cancer kills more people in a day?

I should add, the abhorrent treatment of asylum seekers in Australia has happened across all political parties, how we got here is a bipartisan effort (slow clap in the back folks). You don't hop on a dangerous boat if land is safe (amongst other ways to seek asylum).

A little dose of maths: in addition to 136 people dying from cancer nationally the NSW hospital system also needed to support 17 people dying of a complex, infectious disease.
A dose of perspective.

Things I don't regret spending money on: The super low bunk bed Paying extra for assembly Paying extra for the old bed to be bought down stairs (thanks covid for making that an impossible task for me now). I have 3 very happy kids tonight.

Seeing the creep who sexually harassed me on twitter last year shared for a tweet on a woman's website gives me the yuk chills. @Mamamia please look at finding a tweet to share from someone who respects women.

Getting sick of the commentary that covid is mild. I was chatting with the service lady at Kmart comparing stories of smell loss and the ongoing fatigue, body aches and dizziness (to name a few). That's not a cold. I got the shakes so bad yesterday I could barely unlock my door.

On radio with @BenFordham this morning, @ScottMorrisonMP disingenuously claims those detained in Park Hotel aren't refugees. But people like @MehdiAli98 have been found to be refugees & so they can't be returned. They are just being punished. theguardian.com/world/2022/j鈥

I am DONE with Australian media continuing to talk about the Djokovic fiasco. If it鈥檚 not that then it鈥檚 some cricket fluff piece. How about showing some compassion and empathy to your neighbouring islands and providing some kind of sentiment/awareness to the Tsunami?! #Tonga 馃嚬馃嚧
